Step 1: Pick a time the day before. The morning is best because it will create a stillness within you that will follow you through the day.
Step 2: Get a timer. Most phones today have a timer or some way to set an alarm. This is the MOST crucial step. This will allow you to let go of time which is essential for deep meditation.
Step 3: Decide on a good length of time. I find that 25 minutes is a good time frame but less may be necessary for beginners.
Step 4: Find a good place in your home. If you can, always try to meditate in this same place. Have it be free from any distractions such as TV, Kids, Internet, Phone ect. (If you are able to put your phone on Airplane mode it's a good idea)
Step 5: JUST DO IT. It may seem silly at first but it will get easier and seem more natural every time. The only time to truly start is NOW. So either start now, or make a decision RIGHT NOW what time tomorrow will work for you.
